I had planned to put it into one of the wire hanging baskets made a few days ago from scrap wire. OK, on to plan B.
I took a few lengths of scrap pine square moulding and cut it into even 6 inch lengths.
Stained them with some old Mahogany color wood stain I had and let them dry.
Later stacked the pieces like lincoln logs in alternating rows to form the frame for the planter.
I glued Elmers Glue on all the contacting surfaces and clamped it up to dry.
Added some wire to make the hangers on the corners and added a piece of Bamboo upright in the center of the planter. After painting it with some old spray clear coat and spray gloss black we were ready for the Orchid . I tied the orchid to the post in the center and let the roots hang free in the inside of the planter box.
